How could I resolve this issue? Or lies the problem with the hoster?

Run:

# /usr/local/psa/admin/sbin/autoinstaller --all-versions --web-interface

Then after about 10-30 seconds hit Ctrl+C to terminate it. It should solve your problem.

Verify with:

# /usr/local/psa/admin/sbin/autoinstaller --version

You should be getting 3.16.3 or higher.

Hm, after running that command, I only get

Parallels Installer 3.16.1 (built on 2013-09-10 16:33)

unfortunately, not 3.16.3 or higher. However, I then went to Tools & Settings - Updates and Upgrades and was able to access the Updates and Upgrades section. Before I only got a timeout when I opened it. There I was able to run the update and got All operations with products and components have been successfully completed.

I have the exact same problem

Run:

# /usr/local/psa/admin/sbin/autoinstaller --all-versions --web-interface

Then after about 10-30 seconds hit Ctrl+C to terminate it. It should solve your problem.

Verify with:

# /usr/local/psa/admin/sbin/autoinstaller --version

You should be getting 3.16.3 or higher.

I have the same problem as Fritz with a brand new Debian Wheezy installation and tried running autoinstaller as you suggested. It didn't work. What's the reasoning for aborting it after 10-30 seconds?

I tried running autoinstall upgrade in the console as well:
# /usr/local/psa/admin/sbin/autoinstaller --all-versions, but ran into the exact same problem as before:

Error: Not found source for system packages (release 7.1) in APT software sources configuration:

Huh, I have updated my Debian System to 7.2, now I get

# Parallels Installer 3.15.15 (built on 2013-08-14 09:28)

when running

# /usr/local/psa/admin/sbin/autoinstaller --version

after running

# /usr/local/psa/admin/sbin/autoinstaller --all-versions --web-interface

Somehow it downgraded?

Same for me…
D
id you do aptitude update & upgrade as well?!
Yes, I updated to Debian 7.2 yesterday. Then I ran /usr/local/psa/admin/sbin/autoinstaller --all-versions --web-interface and got the version Parallels Installer 3.15.15 (built on 2013-08-14 09:28) after that. But all seems well so far (the Plesk Panel even runs faster now after this recent update), but I still wonder why the Parallels Installer version is now downgraded.

Fritz MichaelG, could you post output of:

# mount | grep var

Please note that having older version should also be OK as long as you're on Debian release your repos point to.

Hm, mount | grep var gives no output whatsoever. (i.e. there are no mounts that have 'var' in their name)

Well... then I don't know why installer got downgraded :) Maybe Debian upgrade explicitly clears some system caches.

Anyway, this shouldn't bother you as long as installer works. If you (for some reason) want to explicitly update installer to the latest available version, you may follow my instructions in the other thread.
