Failed to update the Panel to 9.5.1

Hello,
I'm having issues upgrading from 9.2.2 to 9.5.1 . Here-under my error log. Basically it's saying there is a dependency error that psa-mail-driver-common < 9.5.1 conflicts with psa-9.5.1-fc4.build95100414.15.i586

Any help would be much appreciated! I tried to do incremental upgrades to versions in-between, I always get the same issue, with different versions of the mail driver showing up each time for the different versions of PLESK trying to upgrade to.

Many Thanks!

Parallels Products Installer.

Try to fake psa-mail-driver-common package removing before upgrade with

rpm -e --nodeps --justdb psa-mail-driver-common

Will doing this force the update of the psa-mail-driver-common package? I don't want my mail to stop working or not able to update itself.

Cheers

Hello,
I've just tried to do what you've said, and I get the following error:

[root@i-spy360vz ~]# rpm -e --nodeps --justdb psa-mail-driver-common
error: "psa-mail-driver-common" specifies multiple packages
[root@i-spy360vz ~]#

Seems you have several psa-mail-driver-common there and it is a reason of this problem. Try to check it with

rpm -qa | grep psa-mail-driver-common

Yep, correct. I'm not sure why this is the case though. I'm currently running PLESK 9.2.2

[root@i-spy360vz ~]# rpm -qa | grep psa-mail-driver-common
psa-mail-driver-common-9.0.0-fc4.build90081222.11
psa-mail-driver-common-9.3.0-fc4.build93091230.06
psa-mail-driver-common-9.5.1-fc4.build95100409.18
[root@i-spy360vz ~]#

Check you current version with

# cat /usr/local/psa/version
# mysql -uadmin -p`cat /etc/psa/.psa.shadow` psa -e"select * from misc where param='version'"

And remove all extra psa-mail-driver-common packages. (--justdb and --nodeps options can be useful)

Hello,
doesn't help. It shows I have 0922 installed (I guess it's 9.2.2)
[root@i-spy360vz ~]# mysql -uadmin -p`cat /etc/psa/.psa.shadow` psa -e"select * from misc where param='version'"
+---------+------+
| param | val |
+---------+------+
| version | 0922 |
+---------+------+

But I have 9.0.0, 9.3.0 and 9.5.1 installed:
[root@i-spy360vz ~]# rpm -qa | grep psa-mail-driver-common
psa-mail-driver-common-9.0.0-fc4.build90081222.11
psa-mail-driver-common-9.3.0-fc4.build93091230.06
psa-mail-driver-common-9.5.1-fc4.build95100409.18

Hi,
I have the impression something went wrong with the installation. MySQL is running, and version is now showing 9.5.1:
[root@i-spy360vz clients]# mysql -uadmin -p`cat /etc/psa/.psa.shadow` psa -e"select * from misc where param='version'"
+---------+------+
| param | val |
+---------+------+
| version | 0951 |
+---------+------+

But no mail driver is installed:
[root@i-spy360vz clients]# rpm -qa | grep psa-mail-driver-common
[root@i-spy360vz clients]#

And Apache doesn't appear to be running, nor have I gotten any success or failure e-mails from the installer...

How can I check what's happening? I can't login to PLESK panel anymore...

I managed to manually start apachectl via ssh.

Now When I login, I get the following error message:
Error: The license key is invalid. In order to use the Parallels Plesk Panel, please obtain and install a new functioning license key.
You are trying to use license key created for other version of Parallels Plesk Panel. Contact Parallels sales representatives to get the correct license key.

You have default limited license installed now but not your license. I think that you should contact support team if it is really urgent for you and you can't fix it by yourself.

I tried to click on retrieve keys button. It effectively sent me an email saying my key has been retrieved, but still doesn't work. I guess I should contact the support of http://www.firstserv.com/ with whom I have the VPS? Or can Parallels support help me here? How can I contact PARALLELS support?
