• The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

Firewall - System policy for outgoing traffic

Since a couple of days we are experiencing problems with some scripting that is installing a bouncer/eggdrop on our server.

I want to prevent any downloads from external websites to my server thru php scripting on our server.

Currently the option: System policy for outgoing traffic is allowed at our servers. I'm wondering if closing it would make it more secure.. but if i do.. could i lock myself out..

And.. maybe some general advise on this situation?

Thanks in advance.

you sure want to disable the updater to check out for updates everytime you login cause otherwise when logging in as admin will take a while... then timeouts and then lets you in ;)
