• Debian 11 is approaching its end-of-life (vendor EOL date - August 31, 2026). Plesk Obsidian 18.0.80 will be the last release to support it.
If you are running Plesk Obsidian on Debian 11, we recommend you upgrade those servers to Debian 12 using our dist-upgrade tool.
  • We plan to deprecate and remove the support for XML RPC protocol versions earlier than 1.6.9.1 in Plesk Obsidian 18.0.82. We strongly recommend that you update all existing integrations using earlier versions of the XML RPC protocol to comply with the version 1.6.9.1 specification.

Issue First time login not working

New Pleskian
Hello! So I am setting up a AWS lightsail $5 plan using Plesk. I have followed this guide to the letter: Set up and configure Plesk on Lightsail | Lightsail Documentation but when I type sudo plesk login or sudo plesk login | grep -v internal:8 to get the one time login and copy/paste the URL into my browser it doesn't connect to anything. It just times out. I have added the firewall rules and the A record. I have also gone to godaddy and changed all the nameservers. Looking at the one time login link it doesn't look like it's using either my private or my public IP.

Am I missing a DNS record? I only put the A name there.

What am I doing wrong? would a screenshot help?

Thanks!

note: when I did the sudo plesk grep line.... it produces 2 URLs... you only need one of them.

look at it carefully and see if you have 2 urls, so just use one.
FYI. I didn't use lightsail, but am using the EC2 market place product.
