I've downloaded Ubuntu 6.10 (64bit) and performed a vanilla install - no services chosen. I then downloaded the Plesk Auto-Installer (8.2) for this particular version of Ubuntu and upon running it, it failed after I had chosen what to install. I left everything checked except the language files which I didn't need.
The error meesage displayed is:-
ERROR: Unable to install packages because of package dependancy problems. Not all packages were installed. Please contact product technical support.
Nothing gets installed and the routine fails almost immediately.
Does anyone have any ideas what dependency packages are missing as nothing is displayed on the screen. I'm not tied to any particular version of OS so if anyone has had better "newbie" experiences from a different distro, I'm all ears.
Thanks!
Gary
