ftp a site before dns migration

I have just added a domain and used a shared ip number.

I have not been able to ftp to the site before I change the dns and it has time to migrate.

I have used the ip number as the host in wsftp with the username and password that I assigned.

Is there a way to upload a site, before migration, to the server so that it is ready to go before you change dns.

I previously did this with Ensim before using the shared ip number and the assigned username and ip number.

Please help.

Gary

hello gary

it should work using the ip address (even if it's shared) and the ftp login/pass

I suggest you to check again those informations

you can also send the files through the file manager, available in the domain's control panel. the only problem is that you can't send multiple files at once...

if you have root access to the server, use scp command in unix to do it, or try WinSCP

see ya

I checked my information as you said and it was a typo in the username.

Thanks for the response.
