  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

FTP error on uploading

When I'm try to upload a new site to my server, I'm getting this error:
The site cannot be published to the specified location.
Cannot publish to the specified host via FTP. Authorization failed.

the ftp IP, username, password and folder for publish are right.

the only thing a little different is that the DNS is not transfered to this server yet.
I'm developing the site and when it's ready I will do the DNS transfer, so I have to point to the site using IP instead of the real name.

Would that be the problem?

Thank you

just o let you know if you get the same error:
Site builder cannot upload to an IP site number. Must be the whole name.

So if you are waiting DNS replication, you cannot publish your site using your server IP in a Shared server environment

Hi,

Yes I think that is right. I am not 100% sure as sometimes the validation works for me. Just make sure the ftp details are right. If you have a location that is accesssible until the domain is propigated you could use that temporarily
