  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.
  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.

Ftp question

This is newb question sorry..

Okay.. I've been playing with plesk for about a month or so now. I didn't upgrade to 7.5.4 just out of fear. I can't seem to ftp to any of my sites. Never had a need before, so I'm not sure if it ever worked.

It prompts for login (so the port is open), and put in my NT login, but it's not accepting it. How does Plesk manage this. There's no way I want to enable anonymous ftp and I just can't believe that's the only way FTP is enabled.

I can reach the site because I'm prompted for login, but every one that I seemed to use isn't letting me through.

How does Plesk handle the FTP accounts? what must be enabled.? thanks!

Try to use Plesk utility to reconfigure your FTP sites within IIS

to use it you need to go to command line
then cd %plesk_bin%
ftpmng.exe --remove-all
ftpmng.exe --reconfigure-all

Plesk handles FTP account via IIS FTP (by default)

Or may be your server is located behind a firewall?
