Question Full recovery of failed server

saturnuranus

New Pleskian
I have a failed Plesk server running on CentOS 6.10 which has been running daily backups in the Backup Manager - they are stored on external storage which can be easily attached to a new server. Can this backup be used to restore Plesk to a working state on say, a CentOS 7 or 8 machine? This old post suggests it is possible, but this article suggests the process is much more involved. Thank you for any assistance.

Well I'm trying this now, progressing OK thus far. Only gotcha is there doesn't appear to be on option to input the old backup password to preserve previous mailbox & db passwords.
