• Debian 11 is approaching its end-of-life (vendor EOL date - August 31, 2026). Plesk Obsidian 18.0.80 will be the last release to support it.
If you are running Plesk Obsidian on Debian 11, we recommend you upgrade those servers to Debian 12 using our dist-upgrade tool.
  • We plan to deprecate and remove the support for XML RPC protocol versions earlier than 1.6.9.1 in Plesk Obsidian 18.0.82. We strongly recommend that you update all existing integrations using earlier versions of the XML RPC protocol to comply with the version 1.6.9.1 specification.

Get a 9.0 key onto a 8.6 server?

I have recently leased a v9.0 license from 4PSA since my SUS ran out on my key from Parallels. I want to install it on my 8.6.0 box in order to perform the upgrade, but it won't let me. Is there any way I can do this? Command-line, web interface, voodoo - I don't care. Anyone have any ideas?

Hi,

It is impossible to install Plesk 9.0 license key on 8.6 version.
I suppose you can request a temporary license key for Plesk 8.6 from Parallels team, as far as I know it should be allowed to upgrade Plesk with this license key. Then install your permanent license key on Plesk 9.0.

I've since realized this and provisioned a new server. Thanks anyway. Migrating all the users over using manual pleskrestore hacks is awfully fun though, lemme tell you!
