  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.
  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.

Hi there!

I've read the FIX for this at http://kb.swsoft.com/en/1160 but I don't understand how to change permissions at the command prompt using remote desktop.

Can anyone tell me what I need to type in to fix this problem?

Thanks so much!

Easy Fix

I was getting the same error, its an easy fix, just follow the directions in that KB URL you posted. Go into Windows Explorer, go to c:\windows (or whatever your system drive letter and Windows directory name is), go to system32, right-click cmd.exe and change the permissions to match those outlined in the KB URL. If for some reason you can't get to it with Windows Explorer, use the command prompt to cd to the same directory, and run the cacls (Change ACcess ListS) to change permissions on cmd.exe from the command prompt instead of the Windows Explorer GUI. Use 'cacls /?' for syntax. Hope this helps!
