• Debian 11 is approaching its end-of-life (vendor EOL date - August 31, 2026). Plesk Obsidian 18.0.80 will be the last release to support it.
If you are running Plesk Obsidian on Debian 11, we recommend you upgrade those servers to Debian 12 using our dist-upgrade tool.
  • We plan to deprecate and remove the support for XML RPC protocol versions earlier than 1.6.9.1 in Plesk Obsidian 18.0.82. We strongly recommend that you update all existing integrations using earlier versions of the XML RPC protocol to comply with the version 1.6.9.1 specification.

Groundhog day - Upgrade screws up SpamAssassin yet again

Last time we updated Plesk (8 to 8.1) every single SpamAssassin mail box had to be re-enabled one by one. Just restarting SA didn't fix it. For 000's of mail boxes that was pretty darn tedious. (see http://forum.swsoft.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=38875)

Now we've thrown the dice and updated 8.1 to 8.1.1 and it's a little better - but not much! Some accounts are working; some are not. Just as before, re-starting SA has no effect. Just as before, the fix seems to be to manually stop/start the SA option.

This time out of the 000's of mail boxes we don't know which ones have SA working and which don't. Our choice: spend hours working through them all, or wait for users to complain about a sudden spam storm.

Plesk updates? "big pain, little gain"
