• Please be aware: Kaspersky Anti-Virus has been deprecated
With the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.64, "Kaspersky Anti-Virus for Servers" will be automatically removed from the servers it is installed on. We recommend that you migrate to Sophos Anti-Virus for Servers.
  • The Horde webmail has been deprecated. Its complete removal is scheduled for April 2025. For details and recommended actions, see the Feature and Deprecation Plan.
  • We’re working on enhancing the Monitoring feature in Plesk, and we could really use your expertise! If you’re open to sharing your experiences with server and website monitoring or providing feedback, we’d love to have a one-hour online meeting with you.

Helm 3.2.x to Plesk 9.3

DNSA

Basic Pleskian
We are a small server solution utilizing ServerBeach as our service provider.

Currently, we have a server hosting approx 150 domains in Helm v3.2.x --

Our new server has Plesk 9.3 on it, and we need to migrate the account information from the old platform to the new. We can handle the data migration, as most of the sites are small and simple. But we do not have the ability to either export account information from Helm or run the Plesk Migration Manager, as it claims no agents are available.

We have installed PFMA 9.3 on our source server and configured properly for necessary services and ports. We show successful connection, but our PMM on the destination server claims first that no agents are available, then that the agent is in use in another session.

We were able to clear the 'session in use' error by flushing the sessions from the destination server, but the source server cannot find an acceptable platform to export.

Was support for Helm dropped in the newer versions of Plesk Migration Manager, and if so, how can we go about exporting our accounting data from HELM? Simple CSV output would be acceptable and we could manually enter data if this is going to be the only solution.

I see that prior versions of PMM supported HELM migrations, but now it seems that the PFMA only checks for old versions of Plesk and no longer checks for HELM.

Please advise, as this is a time-critical matter for us. We were under the understanding that with the older Migration Agent supporting HELM that this would be the case in the newer versions.

Thank you --

Well that leaves me two options:

Will Parallels grant me a license for Plesk 8.6 that will atleast allow me to move from HELM to 8.6 then I can move from 8.6 to 9.3? This is very alarming, considering Parallels owns both platforms (HELM and PLESK) -

Or how about a tool that will export data from HELM to a flat file of some sort so that I can enter it manually? Currently the only way I have to extract data from HELM is to request it from my clients, and this is not something I can wait on. I don't understand why they would have support for HELM in version 8.6 but then drop it in later versions -- it's not like HELMs data configuration has changed in the last 4 years (atleast for the version I am running).

Thank you for your time.

You can contact your sales representative and he will provide you trial Plesk 8.6 license for your tasks.
