  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

Help: Permissions on third party components resetting?

We are currently implementing v9.2. The install appears stable apart from when we try to install a third party component. eg ISAPI Rewrite, IIS Mod_rewrite or ASPEmail etc.

The component works fine immediately after install but within an hour we get permission denied type errors.

We have tried setting the permissions for psacln and psaserv as per the documentation - but these seem to reset themselves within an hour.

We have tried installing the components to the /pleask dir.

Is there a specific process to getting third party components running under Plesk? Any assistance would be appreciated.

Regards
Craig
