Horde webmail and default web page problem.

Hi all,

I use Ubuntu 8.04 LTS with Plesk 9.2.3.
I have upgrade the last base plesk packages from linux command line "apt-get upgrade".
Now I have a big problem with Webmail Horde 3.1.7-ubuntu8.04.build92091210.11.
The server running successfully but the horde webmail don't running because If i try to insert http:\\webmail.domain.com, I will see the Default plesk page.
I check in the mail server section from plesk panel, and horde checkbox is enable. I have try to change with AtMail but dont' change anything.
I try to insert this command from shell:

/usr/local/psa/admin/sbin/websrvmng -a -v

but the horde or atmail don't work.

The psa-horde log file in the /var/log/psa-horde is empty.

I dont' understand the problem!!!

Any idea??

Running:

apt-get install psa-hotfix3-9.2.3

at commandline after upgrade failed via Controlpanel upgrader on my Ubuntu 8.04 with Plesk 9.2.3 fixed the problem. Now webmail works again.

I have received following answer from developers:

The problem with hotfix has some types:

1. RPM: Upgrade from Plesk <= 9.2.2: updating package takes hotfix and after that the package psa-9.2.3 which kills all changes made by hotfix is installed.
Solution: reinstall psa-hotfix3-9.2.3 package.

2. DEB: Here are a lot of variations with common result that installed webmail is updated but psa-hotfix3 and psa-mail-driver-common packages are forgotten.
Solution: Do not forget install ALL updated packages.

3. Common: Clients are afraid of messages like:

Solution: It is not errors. Just ignore it.

All other problems can't be reproduced and should be investigated directly on servers. Contact support team in this case.

I have followed the proposals mentioned in this thread:

- installed all using apt-get upgrade
OK

- installed apt-get install psa-hotfix3-9.2.3
OK

- restarted apache

RESULT:
- horde.webmail.domain.com seems to work now

Could you please advise what is the solution to get also webmail.domain.com to work again (without horde prefix) .

try to call http://horde.webmail.YOURDOMAIN

if this works than

vi /etc/apache2/conf.d/zzz_horde_vhost.conf

and change the ServerName and ServerAlias for your VirtualHost from horde.webmail to webmail .

Then reload apache ("etc/init.d/apache2 reload" or something like this)

Horde & Atmail Webmail and Default Web Page Problem

I also run ran into this problem, and attempted all of the proposed fixes to no avail. I am using Atmail as the Webmail client, on 9.2.3 on CentOS.

To fix the problem one must firstly remove the psa-hotfix3-9.2.3 through console ( yum remove psa-hotfix3-9.2.3 ), remove both the Atmail and Horde components, and then use the Plesk Updater to reinstall all 3 of the items. These items show up as Plesk Base, and Horde and Atmail in the Plesk Updater

Once the Plesk Base, Horde and Atmail components were reinstalled, I was able to set Atmail as the default Webmail client, and http://webmail.domain.com worked once again.

Even if you do not use Horde as the Webmail client, it is still required to be installed.

the horde.webmail.domain does not go anywhere and the webmail.domain goes the the plesk defualt page for a website (Server Default page)


checked the zzz_horde_vhosts.conf and changed from horde.webmail* to webmail.* restarted apache and still no difference
