  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

Horde Webmail bloody slow since recent update

Regular Pleskian
Hello,
I am running Plesk 12 on a Debian 6 squeeze server and PHP 5.4 dotdeb packages.
Since a couple of days, the Horde Webmail is so slow that is has become unusable. There are problems communicating with the imap server and most of the time doing basic stuff like getting the message list or opening a message takes forever and eventually times out with an error message. I am not sure if this is related to the recent PHP 5.4.33 update, or to a recent Plesk update.
Are there any known problems?
I tried to get some useful info from the Horde logfile, unfortunately there is no indication there that something is wrong, plus the logfile is getting truncated all the time for some reason...
By the way, Roundcube works just fine!

Ok turns out the latest dotdeb packages were causing the problems... I reverted to 5.4.32 and all is fine again :)
