  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

Hi,

first im a german and so sorry for grammar :) i try my best.

I ve got an new Root Server with Windows Server 2008 on it. Now i installed Plesk 8.3.0.
I created a user account and domain and then an email-adress.

Now the Problem:
Horde not working correctly - means i can't login.
I can open the side webmail.domain.tld but when i enter username (full email-adress) and passwort, the message appears "Logon Failure - Anmeldung fehlgeschlagen". But no further informations.

I tried it with pop3 and imap, both with logon failure.

The email-account does work and can receive emails. With Outlook or other mail clients i can receive mails without problems.

Any ideas what i have to configure, that horde will work ??

System infos:
Win Server 2008 32-Bit
Plesk 8.3.0 (+ Patch 8.3.1)
Standard install with mailenable and horde
running on mysql

Thx and kindly regards
Mac

Fault above:
means Plesk Patch 8.3.0.1 not 8.3.1 sorry

The 8.3.0.1 patch disabled webmail on all of our domains. Login to Plesk, click "Domains" then check all the boxes for all domains and click "Group Operations". Check the option for "webmail: <whatever you prefer>" and save it. That should fix you up.

HOWEVER, I recommend against using Plesk's Horde right now, until they release a patch for the recent remote include vulnerability within it.

We had the same error and it was fixed simply by restarting mssql (if You use MySQL try rstarting it instead)...
