Host of problems - no java, mysql

I'm a new user with a new virtual server. My main purpose for obtaining the server was to set up an Alfresco instance for home use that was web accessible but it would also be nice to be able to host my son's website.

Anyway...I can't create a database or start MySql. When I try to set up a new database I get an error that says there was a network error try again later - it's days later now and it doesn't work.

Next issue. When I look at the list of services/items enabled for my server and their status java is listed but there's nothing in the right hand column.

Very frustrating!!!

I did notice today that memory usage was huge but that was fixed by a reboot.

Any ideas?

Hi,

Check if the MySQL server is up and running. Also check the status of MySQL from the Plesk at the page Plesk CP -> Server -> Databases
Update the root password for mysql and try to create database once again.

I cannot understand your second issue. Please describe it in more details.
