How do I create a database with long hash

Dear sir/madam,

We want to update our PHP to 5.3.* But 5.3.* doesn't support the old passwords of MySQL anymore.
In the config of MySQL the command "old_password 0" is defined, but PLESK keeps making dbusers with an old password.

How can we let plesk make db users with new passwords / long hashes?

Thanks in advance.

I have performed some tests and found that really, when old_password variables is disabled for mysql server, Plesk still create new users with old password format. Seems it is hardcoded. I will create request to developers regarding this issue and will update this thread with any results as soon as I receive it.

Igor,

Thanks for your reply!
We're looking forward to the solution for this problem.

Dear Igor,

We would like to upgrade to PHP 5.3.* but we cant with this problem in the way.
Is there a hot fix or something?

Thanks in advance!

Unfortunately we haven't any fix. Problem still under developer's investigation.

is there any solution to that problem? or at least an idea of how we could solve it by ourselves?
is there a way to open plesk php files? how are they encoded?

this is very important and urgent since old passwords in plesk mean:
- not using php 5.3+
- thousands of wrong password mysql errors in the event viewer
- a much weaker security

thank you
