Plesk Obsidian Web Host Edition Version 18.0.66 Update #1
Hello everyone,

We had an issue with one of our servers and had to reinstall it. Long story short, config restore set new passwords for mail users.
We tried to copy hashes of old passwords to psa.accounts but it looks like Plesk is using cached version of it...What is the appropriate way to deal with this issue (get all the old passwords restored)?

Thanks!

The passwords are encrypted with the Plesk installation id.

Plesk Backup restore will set the same passwords only on the install from where it was created.

To restore the passwords to a new Plesk install you need to set a password on the backup on the original Plesk install.

Original Plesk install was botched beyond repair by centos2alma script. It was reinstalled since. Any other way?
