how do I enable long arrays?

i tried following a tutorial for making a vhost.conf, but every time i tried, it would crash my apache service. can anyone help me with this? iI need long arrays enabled for my shopping cart software

You can enable that globaly from httpd.conf.

I do not see why it shouldn't be enabled.

I found the solution (at least with GoDaddy virtual dedicated servers with Plesk 8.x

In the root/etc/php.ini file, there is an option for turning on "register long arrays". once I enabled that, everything installed smoothly.

Hope this helps somebody else out there in the future
