How do i get size of a domain

I noticed that the plesk tool shows the size of a domain and the traffic. I am wondering where i can get that information because i have to write an application in asp.net that shows the same data so i thought i can use the same as plesk but therefore i need to know where he gets that data. Can anybody help me?
