How do I install a Web Application to my Document Root

Hello everyone,

I am running Plesk 9.01 on a Windows Server 2003 webserver. I have installed certain applications into the Application Vault. I am trying to install a web application to the Document Root of a specific domain, http://www.mydomain.com instead of http://www.mydomain.com/webappname. I have a much stronger background in *nix than Windows so am on kind of new territory here. From what I gather, there is supposed to be an option to instal a web app to Document Root but I don't see one. I have gone through all settings that seem to have any relevance but can find nothing to enable or disable installing to a domain's DocRoot. Any help on how to accomplish this is greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance.

you have to install app to the document root manually without app vault. Upload the files to the httpdocs, configure permissions for folders and proceed with webbased installation

How do I change the directory permissions?

Thank you for your response, my question now, is how do I change the directory permissions? All permissions settings appear to be "locked", they are all greyed out. I don't believe that I would need to change permissions on the host server itself do I? Any help on how to accomplish this is greatly appreciated.

you have to ask your host to give permissions to httpdocs folder as it can't be changed from control panel
