How do I upgrade suse 9.1 to suse 9.3 and plesk 7.5.3 to 8 without dieing?

I have plesk 7.5.3 installed on suse 9.1 but I need to install plesk 8. But plesk 8 only supports suse 9.3. So should I upgrade plesk 7.5.3 to 7.5.4 in suse 9.1. THEN upgrade suse 9.1 to suse 9.3 and then upgrade plesk from 7.5.4 to 8?

Has anyone else had experience upgrading from suse 9.1 to 9.3?
