• Debian 11 has reached its end-of-life (vendor EOL date - August 31, 2026). Plesk Obsidian 18.0.81 is the last release to support it.
If you are running Plesk Obsidian on Debian 11, we recommend you upgrade those servers to Debian 12 using our dist-upgrade tool.
  • We plan to deprecate and remove the support for XML RPC protocol versions earlier than 1.6.9.1 in Plesk Obsidian 18.0.82. We strongly recommend that you update all existing integrations using earlier versions of the XML RPC protocol to comply with the version 1.6.9.1 specification.

How to access httpdocs files before setting up a domain?

Hello all!

This is my first post in Plesk forums!

I have created a client (myname) and a domain (myname.com) in Plesk, and uploaded some html files in httdocs. But I really haven't purchased the real myname.com yet.

How can I access the files in httdocs before setting up the "real" domain name?

Thanks in advance

Anass

You can set a default domain for an IP address and access it by that IP address (only one default domain per IP address of course).

Or you can add an entry for the IP address and domain in your computer's hosts file and then access it by the hostname.
