• The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

Hello,
Soon I will change my hardware server to new, and I'll need to backup plesk on old server and restore on the new.
I made backup of all domains, but there is one question:
How can I backup a license key from my old server?
Plesk 9.5.1, Centos 5.4 installed on the old server.

Thanks for your reply.

Hey that is a excellent question!

You can't export the existing key and since it's updating constantly, any emailed keys from parallels with sus updates will be expired!

I just looked through the database and the key history table is blank.

Parallels should have a login where you can request a current key and receive via email.

Parallels Panel key's files is storing in %plesk_dir%\admin\repository\keys folder for Windows and /etc/sw/keys/keys/ for Unix. Each file with random name is for one key. You can find necessary key by reading the content, and then do what you want.

If your looking for info on how to backup your license key on plesk

Open command-prompt navigate to your c:\program files\parallels\plesk\bin
run command: pleskbackup --server -c
and then your can look in your backup folder(c:\program files\parellels\plesk\backup) for a zip file called backup_keyxx**** inside of that is your key, which you can upload to your new plesk panel
