  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

Resolved How to Blacklist emails from address that does not end with .com

deafdog

New Pleskian
I don't know much about Plesk being used as part of our E-Commerce site but I'm getting lots of spammy emails in my Outlook and would like to blacklist them...

The problem is the email return addresses don't end with .com - most of the seem to end with .best

Example: Fix your Snoring <[email protected]>

In Plesk it will not let me add to the blacklist an entry that ends with .best - it seems to only allow blacklisting of things that end with .com

I have added to my Outlook blacked senders *@.best but that doesn't seem to be working so I thought I would see if I could block them from Plesk.

Any ideas?

How is that? There should be no issue black listing any toplevel domain, including .best.

Plesk accepted *@*.best so we'll see how that works - we'll know by tomorrow.

Thanks for the assist.

The valid format to blacklist all addresses from a particular TLD is *@*.best.
It seems that solution doesn't work for me.
As if Spamassassin doesn't work at all.

I see there is three functions for mail blacklisting :
- Mail server Settings
- Antivirus
- Spam Filters
Which one is effective ?

Hello, @YperLine . As far as I can see, these are the server-wide filters. Can you please confirm if you have "Apply individual settings to spam filtering" enabled in Tools & Settings > Spam Filter Settings? If you do, could you please try adding the desired entries in the Blacklist by navigating to Subscriptions > example.com > Mail > [email protected] > Spam Filter. Also, please make sure "Switch on spam filtering for this email address" is enabled.
