Question How to configure nginx vhost manually ?

Hi,
I Would like to configure an nginx vhost for my NodeJS app.
So How to configure nginx vhost manually ( the proper way )?
Please help.

depending to your configured listening port of your application ( I will use the example port "8090" ) you would for example add the application in the folder "app1" in your domain - docroot ( example: "/var/www/vhosts/YOUR-DOMAIN.COM/httpdocs/app1" ) , followed by adding an additional nginx directive at

Home > Subscriptions > YOUR-DOMAIN.COM > Websites & Domains > Apache & nginx Settings​

like for example:

    location /app1 {
        proxy_pass http://YOUR_IP_ADRESS:8090;
        proxy_http_version 1.1;
        proxy_set_header Upgrade $http_upgrade;
        proxy_set_header Connection 'upgrade';
        proxy_set_header Host $host;
        proxy_cache_bypass $http_upgrade;
    }

i know this method, but i need to do it manually because i am willing to use Ansible to automate the process.
i need to configure the vhost manually from the console so that i can automate the process using Ansible.

Hi SMAHI,

if you don't want to use Plesk, you should consider to read the nginx - documentation, how to setup vhosts with nginx ( pls. keep in mind, that this forum is "Plesk-related" forum ):

I know that this forum is Plesk-related forum, for this reason i am asking Plesk expert like you sir, because i don't want to mess with system files that can break Plesk.
I already now how to create nginx vhost but i need Plesk way of doing thing without breaking it functionality.
