• The APS Catalog has been deprecated and removed from all Plesk Obsidian versions.
    Applications already installed from the APS Catalog will continue working. However, Plesk will no longer provide support for APS applications.
  • Please be aware: with the Plesk Obsidian 18.0.78 release, the support for the ngx_pagespeed.so module will be deprecated and removed from the sw-nginx package.

Question How to configure Postfix, Dovecot and Roundcube with a LDAP Windows AD?

Jordi

New Pleskian
Hi.

I have an AD Windows domain. The OU users have email attribute.
I need authenticate the users from this AD to webmail.
Plesk is installed on Ubuntu 14.04.

Can you help me?

Thank you.

Hi Jordi,

even that this questions is NOT a Plesk-related question, consider to achieve your goal, by editing "/usr/share/psa-roundcube/config/defaults.inc.php", if you use Roundcube.

Example:
Code:
...
// ----------------------------------
// LDAP
// ----------------------------------

// Type of LDAP cache. Supported values: 'db', 'apc' and 'memcache'.
$config['ldap_cache'] = 'db';

// Lifetime of LDAP cache. Possible units: s, m, h, d, w
$config['ldap_cache_ttl'] = '10m';
...

could be modified/extended with something like:
Code:
...
// Password Plugin options
// -----------------------
$config['password_driver'] = 'ldap_simple';
$config['password_confirm_current'] = true;
$config['password_minimum_length'] = 6;
$config['password_require_nonalpha'] = false;
$config['password_log'] = false;
$config['password_login_exceptions'] = null;
$config['password_hosts'] = null;
$config['password_force_save'] = false;

// LDAP and LDAP_SIMPLE Driver options
// -----------------------------------
$config['password_ldap_host'] = '127.0.0.1';
$config['password_ldap_port'] = '389';
$config['password_ldap_starttls'] = false;
$config['password_ldap_version'] = '3';
$config['password_ldap_basedn'] = 'dc=example,dc=com';
$config['password_ldap_method'] = 'user';
$config['password_ldap_searchDN'] = 'uid=roundcube,ou=services,dc=example,dc=com';
$config['password_ldap_searchPW'] = 'secret';
$config['password_ldap_search_base'] = 'ou=people,dc=example,dc=com';
$config['password_ldap_search_filter'] = '(uniqueIdentifier=%name)';
$config['password_ldap_encodage'] = 'crypt';
$config['password_ldap_pwattr'] = 'userPassword';
$config['password_ldap_force_replace'] = true;
...
