• Debian 11 is approaching its end-of-life (vendor EOL date - August 31, 2026). Plesk Obsidian 18.0.80 will be the last release to support it.
If you are running Plesk Obsidian on Debian 11, we recommend you upgrade those servers to Debian 12 using our dist-upgrade tool.
  • We plan to deprecate and remove the support for XML RPC protocol versions earlier than 1.6.9.1 in Plesk Obsidian 18.0.82. We strongly recommend that you update all existing integrations using earlier versions of the XML RPC protocol to comply with the version 1.6.9.1 specification.

Question How to create "dev + pub" service plan (limit hosting staging only environment / sub domain)?

New Pleskian
I want to offer as a hosting provider "developer plans", essentially environment where customers can:
use WordPress toolkit, install WordPress, develop site(s), show site demos.
However, demos should not be publicly accessible - it should work like staging site, using subdomain.customerdomain.com.
Later customers can upgrade service plan, and move/push demo site to production/live domain.

I'm aware something like this can be done creating sub domain, cloning live site to sub domain, and password protecting staging directory.
However, this is not solution at hosting provider level.
I wish to offer DevOps plans, limited only to staging like environment, and offer upgrades that allow move/push demo site to live.

I know some hosting providers using Plesk are offering exactly this kind of plans
What is the best way to do the same using Plesk?

I have been trying to figure out the setup (service plans), but no success.
I have Plesk Plesk Obsidian Version 18.0.30 Web Host Edition (and WHMCS 7.10.2)
Thank you in advance!!
