how to enter SSH access for subdomain

Hi,
is anyone know how a subdomain account (maybe using ftp user name and password) to get into shell?
assumed the domain have shell access.

if I use domain for ssh, it doesn't have enough permission to open subdomain folder.

I tried:
ssh username: ftpusername
ssh password: ftppassword
Doesn't work

I tried:
ssh username: [email protected]
ssh password: ftppassword
Doesn't work

I tried:
ssh username: [email protected]
ssh password: ftppassword
Doesn't work

I assumed the subdomain also have ssh access, since I try to ssh subdomain.domainname.com

Regards,
Andrew

Hi;

I guess I have the same question, have you figured this out?

Thanks

OMG - I cant believe I havent seen the answer before:

clients-> domain-> setup-> Shell access to server with FTP user's credentials

this defaults to no access. Dough!
