• Debian 11 is approaching its end-of-life (vendor EOL date - August 31, 2026). Plesk Obsidian 18.0.80 will be the last release to support it.
If you are running Plesk Obsidian on Debian 11, we recommend you upgrade those servers to Debian 12 using our dist-upgrade tool.
  • We plan to deprecate and remove the support for XML RPC protocol versions earlier than 1.6.9.1 in Plesk Obsidian 18.0.82. We strongly recommend that you update all existing integrations using earlier versions of the XML RPC protocol to comply with the version 1.6.9.1 specification.

Question How to exclude a customer's locally stored Plesk backup from the full Plesk server backup?

On some hosts we have customers who create their own backup sets with Plesk and store them locally into the server storage space. It seems that all these local backups are backed up again in the full server backup that the administrator has configured. Through the years we never ran into a situation where this was necessary, and it is more or less a waste of time, cpu power and backup storage space to store all the website data plus all the local backups.

Is there a parameter, maybe undocumented, by which the backup service can be instructed to omit all locally stored backups from full server backups?
