How to open a port??

I just got a server with Plesk Reloaded so yes I am a newbie

I am trying to install Urchin but it requires an open port, the question is how do I open a port?

All your help will be highly appreciated.

Go to your firewall config and allow specifically the port you need incoming-outgoing, TCP or UDP - and close the rest of course -
Open ports will be shown in green and closed in red.

Thanks but I just have one more question.
Is the firewall config on the control panel or how I get there.

It may seem like a dumb question but I a newbie on Plesk.

I dont remember exactly but somewhere after installing the 7.5 upgrade you'll have the Firewall installed under 'utlities' or similar (CP's left side menu)
BTW, remember to close port 23 - telnet -and all the others not needed.
Download Nmap and run it, it'll show all open ports.
(nmap -p 1-65535 localhost) then close those not needed.

Upgrading to 7.5 does not automallicy install the firewall unless you had selected it to be install but it not active for the first time ..

It's located under "Modules" which you find in the left side of the panel then in the Modules you should see an icon for firewall.
