• Debian 11 is approaching its end-of-life (vendor EOL date - August 31, 2026). Plesk Obsidian 18.0.80 will be the last release to support it.
If you are running Plesk Obsidian on Debian 11, we recommend you upgrade those servers to Debian 12 using our dist-upgrade tool.
  • We plan to deprecate and remove the support for XML RPC protocol versions earlier than 1.6.9.1 in Plesk Obsidian 18.0.82. We strongly recommend that you update all existing integrations using earlier versions of the XML RPC protocol to comply with the version 1.6.9.1 specification.

Question Clarification on different port using in plesk

Thomas Oryon

Regular Pleskian
Hello Support,

We have plesk installed in both Linux & Windows server. While we check plesk internal database in linux it's using 3306 port number but in windows it's using 8306 port number. May I know the reason for this?

Also, we have an doubt that since the plesk will not officially support port change how come this possible. Also, while we check from front end database server section it shows 3306 port number for all as attached.

Awaiting your reply.

On Windows Plesk runs it's own separate database server (Plesk SQL server) for the Plesk (PSA) database on port 8306. All other database run default MariaDB server on port 3306, which is shown in UI.

Hello Support,

Both plesk windows and linux server uses PSA database. If windows using PSA database and it's port number 8306 then same PSA database was also used by linux then here how come the database port was 3306?

Kindly explin in more detail on this.
