  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

How to Point Domain to a Hostgator Account

MattPM

New Pleskian
I've setup hosting on Hostgator, and was provided two NS addresses. I usually use a different domain registrar and am unfamiliar with Parallels. I've successfully pointed other domains to the NS at my host, but can't quite figure it out with Parallels.

I've logged in, gone to Websites and Domains, then DNS Settings. The domain I want to change is set in Master Mode. I click the "Manage" link, and have created three records:

Host Record Type Value
mydomain.com. NS ns1.myhostdnsname.com.
mydomain.com. NS ns2.myhostdnsname.com.
www.mydomain.com. CNAME mydomain.com.

(obviously, with the real values in the domain name and the DNS name at Hostgator)

I've waited a day, and the domain name is still pointing to the old host.

Any thoughts?

Thanks!
