  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

I have a ubuntu VPS and I have disabled bind in Plesk however at every reboot the service keeps starting.

How can i stop bind to start ?

Thx

Just use sysv-rc-conf for enabling/disabling services on Ubuntu. It is the same as chkconfig on RH-like systems.

This is weird: i've just restarted my VPS, in Services management, DNS Server (BIND) is turned on (green) but when i run sysv-rc-conf, there is no check marks for BIND9 at every level...
???

I can assume that bind can be started by some Virtuozzo VPS start scripts. What about just removing bind if you won't use it?
