How to retrieve access.log?

On my Plesk 8.6 box, I can find under every website the directory /var/www/mydomain.com/statistics/log a couple of logfiles. The current access file is access_log and a second one (empty!) is access_log.processed.

I understand that current logfile has been parsed (webalizer?) and rotated. Unformtunately, because I have a real problem for a given website, I need to search back in the past month for specific accesses.

-Where can I retrieve this information?
-If this is not possible, what should I change in order to keep an "history" in my directory like access_log.gz.1..n?

Thanks in advance for your help.
JZ

ps: the logfiles of the "main" website (under /var/log/apache2) are archived, why not the other ones?
