  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

How to unblock Network Service inheritance on vhosts sub folders

I am using Plesk Control Panel 9.3.0 on a Windows 2008 R2 platform with IIS7.5.

Publishing Points of Windows Media Services need to access the files in a sub-folder of a website.

Publishing Points need the Network Services account to allow access to folders.

the vhosts folder has a Special Permission which denies all rights to Network Service. I have removed this and replaced it with Network Service allowing Read & Execute permissions applied to sub-folders and files. But it is NOT applied to the sub-folders and files.

It seems the inheritance of Network Service to the sub-folders and files is denied. How do I allow it?

Your help would be much appreciated.

Thanking you in anticipation.

Roger
