How to upgrade mysql 3.23

Hi all,

I really need help here , I want to upgrade mysql, but i don't the steps to upgrade it . Can anybody please help to upgrade mysql 3.23 to 4.* . I am using plesk 7.5.4 and my operating system is red hat . Thank you very much before .
