  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

How to upgrade without triggering sa-learn?

Regular Pleskian
Is there a variable that can be set so an upgrade from 10 to 11 does not trigger the spam assassin learning process? It causes upgrades to take a very long and unpredictable time on large servers.

So yes, something in the upgrade process causes sa-learn to run against every single mailbox on the server, while leaving the upgrade incomplete and web server down. So upgrades from 10 to 11, instead of completing with a few minutes of downtime and running the learn process later, can run into the 30+ minute range on servers with a large number of email accounts. For example, in the above, I'm now at the 25 minute mark.

Oh... I see now :)

I previously thought that you were talking about upgrading to 11.5. And indeed, there is no such problem there. However, updates to psa-spamassassin package in 11.0 do cause sa-learn calls (even for mailboxes where SpamAssassin is not enabled). Unfortunately I don't believe you can fix this yourself without upgrading to 11.5.
