• Hi, Pleskians! We are running a UX testing of our upcoming product intended for server management and monitoring.
We would like to invite you to have a call with us and have some fun checking our prototype. The agenda is pretty simple - we bring new design and some scenarios that you need to walk through and succeed. We will be watching and taking insights for further development of the design.
If you would like to participate, please use this link to book a meeting. We will sent the link to the clickable prototype at the meeting.
  • The Horde webmail has been deprecated. Its complete removal is scheduled for April 2025. For details and recommended actions, see the Feature and Deprecation Plan.
  • The ImunifyAV extension is now deprecated and no longer available for installation.
Existing ImunifyAV installations will continue operating for three months, and after that will automatically be replaced with the new Imunify extension. We recommend that you manually replace any existing ImunifyAV installations with Imunify at your earliest convenience.

Question How to use VPS Plesk DNS settings as primary ?

E.Swestberg

New Pleskian
How I can use VPS Plesk DNS settings as primary for domain ?

1. I have bought VPS plesk 12.x from OVH.com
2. My domain is bought from OVH.com

OVH DNS settings: (default domain setting)
ns200.anycast.me.
dns200.anycast.me.

VPS DNS Settings: (this VPS bought from OVH.com)
sdns5.ovh.net.
vps3432204.ovh.net.

Do I just change my OVH DNS settings to same as VPS DNS settings ?
Help appreciated, thanks :)

Hi,

Please check these steps.

  1. Log into Plesk.
  2. Go to the Hosts Primary Domain or the domain you want to set private name servers for. There should already be a NS1 and NS2 listed here for that domain.
  3. To set the name server, click Add DNS Record from the top navigation menu.
The appropriate IP addresses can be found in the welcome email or by going to Home >Tools & Settings > IP Addresses in Plesk.
  4. Select record type A from the drop-down menu.
  5. In the Domain name box, type in ns1.
  6. In the IP address box enter primary IP address.
  7. Click OK.
  8. Set up the second name server by repeating steps 3-7, applying ns2 and ns2.domain.com where appropriate.
Regards,
