  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

Question HowTo fix: postfix/postfix-script: warning: symlink leaves directory: /etc/postfix/./makedefs.out

USY

Basic Pleskian
Hi,

when try to check postfix, i get:

Bash:
root@srv:~# postfix check
postfix/postfix-script: warning: symlink leaves directory: /etc/postfix/./makedefs.out

How to fix that issue ?

The file itself is just build specific information of postfix on your system.. This symlink was made when you installed postfix.

The only reason you get this warning is that this symlink points to a file outside of your /etc/postfix directory. It is flagged with a warning because it could indicate a security issue if you didn’t expect it to be there. in this case the symlink is created by your OS's package manager so it’s fine.

You don’t fix it, or rather you probably shouldn’t bother, it’s important to note that this is just a warning, not an error
