Hi all,

Sometimes, a user comes and asks me why his friend didn't received the mail he just has sent from my Plesk server using SMTP protocol with his Outlook...and i'm unable to respond to him....

Are there any tool that would allow me to :

1) follow a mail from begin to end to understand what happens
2) analyze plesk's qmail's log and give me the reason of errors (bad reverse DNS.....) or give me statistics

grep the IP of the mail sender in the maillog file. it may reveal some reason ... and make sure he set-up a reply to mailbox for outgoing mails, so if he receive the bounce mails, he can also see the reason in the header.
 
hummm...sorry, my goal is finally more to be able to analyze the qmail log file to get "statistics" of encountered errors for all mails or 1 specific mail...
