  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

Question Howto Use Onyx as SECONDARY EMAIL SERVER/HOLD

AnyTimeCoMM

New Pleskian
Hey Guys,

We have just moved back to a PLESK enviroment from Cpanel. One of the issues we have already faced is that there is no way to handle EMAIL as SECONDARY on our server. Prior, we would just have the mx records set to the external Exchange box, if that box was down, our server would accept mail and just hold it until the exchange server came back online. This was nothing hard to do other than just turn on mail service as REMOTE under the CPANEL...

Is there a way to do this in PLESK? While we love what we are seeing so far, we really would like to be able to just have our server as a secondary mail hold for those rare occasions the primary mail sever doesnt exist or is not able to be contacted.

I wish we had the coder on staff to do this.. I found a process to handle this in the .cf files of postfix, but to make the changes all pretty and the like is not our forte. Anyone want to get involved?
