• Debian 11 is approaching its end-of-life (vendor EOL date - August 31, 2026). Plesk Obsidian 18.0.80 will be the last release to support it.
If you are running Plesk Obsidian on Debian 11, we recommend you upgrade those servers to Debian 12 using our dist-upgrade tool.
  • We plan to deprecate and remove the support for XML RPC protocol versions earlier than 1.6.9.1 in Plesk Obsidian 18.0.82. We strongly recommend that you update all existing integrations using earlier versions of the XML RPC protocol to comply with the version 1.6.9.1 specification.

Question Query Regarding Changing Plesk Notification Sender Email Address

Thomas Oryon

Regular Pleskian
Dear Support Team,

We are using Plesk with an external SMTP server configured for sending notification emails.

Currently, Plesk notifications are being sent with the sender address:

psaadm@h-npre-p-plxl1

Our SMTP relay is rejecting these emails with the error:

550 5.7.1 Not allowed to relay

We understand that the administrator email configured in Plesk is only for admin contact purposes and is not being used as the actual sender address for these notifications.

Could you please advise how we can change the sender email address used by Plesk notifications to an approved email address without changing the server hostname for MSMTP?

Please let us know if there is any Plesk setting or recommended method to configure the notification sender address.
