  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

Question HTTP Response Header Question

Dan Ellis

New Pleskian
Hi all,

I am a newbie so I apologize if this is a silly question. Does Plesk automatically insert the PleskLin x-powered-by header by default in all instances? Or are there certain circumstances/settings that bring this about?

I have seen x-powered-by headers with PHP version instead of PleskLin as well. What circumstances/settings bring this about? Is there a certain hierarchy between the two that decides which gets to override the other?

Does CPanel have any similar "signature" header like "PleskLin" that it inserts or is it impossible to tell which HTTP response headers are generated from a server in which CPanel is installed?

Thank you all very much for your help!
