• Debian 11 is approaching its end-of-life (vendor EOL date - August 31, 2026). Plesk Obsidian 18.0.80 will be the last release to support it.
If you are running Plesk Obsidian on Debian 11, we recommend you upgrade those servers to Debian 12 using our dist-upgrade tool.
  • We plan to deprecate and remove the support for XML RPC protocol versions earlier than 1.6.9.1 in Plesk Obsidian 18.0.82. We strongly recommend that you update all existing integrations using earlier versions of the XML RPC protocol to comply with the version 1.6.9.1 specification.

In Plesk Linux 8.1.1 is there a limit to backup/restore a big file?

My /var/qmail/mailnames is 50GB in size, so the backup file will be similar, I guess. Does anyone has backed/restored files this big?
Should it work without problems?

(i've been making the backup for 5 hours and it hasnt finished yet, the backup file is 9GB and growing)

The limit is your file system limit (which is 2 TB for ext3 I believe). You might run out of disk space before hitting that though. The backup uses compression so it should take less space than the original files combined.
