Incorrect file owner after renaming main ftp user

PRODUCT, VERSION, OPERATING SYSTEM, ARCHITECTURE

Plesk Obsidian 18.0.77#2 on Debian 12.13

PROBLEM DESCRIPTION

After renaming the system username for a domain in the Hosting section, the website file permissions changed to a completely different user. New files are also created with the wrong user.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE

- Having a website with additional FTP users. Example: "secondary_ftp_user".
- Rename the site's system user in the Hosting section.

ACTUAL RESULT

All site files change their permissions with the "secondary_ftp_user" as owner.
Even when creating new files, the owner is "secondary_ftp_user".

EXPECTED RESULT

In the file permissions, the owner should be the renamed system user.

ANY ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

"Diagnose and repair Tool" does not find any related problems.
Renaming "secondary_ftp_user" fix the permissions changing files to the system user.

Thank you for the report, @uniauto . We have a registered bug for the behavior identified with ID PPPM-12524. At this point, I cannot provide an ETA for the fix. It is worth to mention that considering the users share the same UID, no major side effects concerning the site, FTP, File Manager behavior were observed.
