Resolved Index.php not loading

rcacciato

New Pleskian
We have a client website, artvietnamgallery.com, where the index.php page is not loading. We get this error message:

This is the placeholder for domain artvietnamgallery.com. If you see this page after uploading site content you probably have not replaced the index.html file.
This page has been automatically generated by Plesk.

This was working fine until recently. When I check in Plesk, the Document Root directory is [Home icon]/httpdocs, which is correct and as it has always been (see screenshot). When I SSH in, all the files are there in /var/www/vhosts/artvietnamgallery.com/httpdocs, which is also correct as far as I can tell. Our hosting company, Mediatemple, was bought by GoDaddy which migrated us to a new server recently, which may have messed things up. Whereas Mediatemple's tech support was very helpful, GoDaddy keeps telling me that they can't help me because it's a self-managed server (never the case with Mediatemple), which is driving me nuts.

I can't for the life of me figure out why the index.php page isn't loading and I'd appreciate if anyone has ideas on this.

Thanks in advance.

Please try to change the PHP version for this domain. By doing this Plesk will re-write the configuration files for this domain.

Also check the "Apache & nginx Settings" for this domain.

If you have root access, you can try,

Code:
#plesk repair web artvietnamgallery.com

OK so we solved it through I have no idea what happened. We changed the httpdocs folder name to httpsdocs (SSH not Plesk) and it worked. Very strange. Thanks for all your input and Happy Thanksgiving!

Something recently changed. We host up to 128 clients on a web server, each with their own IP. Starting recently, folks with compatibility mode turned on started seeing this issue with content no showing up or the wrong content showing up. I can't run the global reset for combining ssl and non-ssl, as some of these may still be using both. Can we just get the compatibility mode checkbox re-enabled in the plesk interface? At least that way my support folks can fix the issue.
