• Debian 11 is approaching its end-of-life (vendor EOL date - August 31, 2026). Plesk Obsidian 18.0.80 will be the last release to support it.
    If you are running Plesk Obsidian on Debian 11, we recommend you upgrade those servers to Debian 12 using our dist-upgrade tool.
  • We plan to deprecate and remove the support for XML RPC protocol versions earlier than 1.6.9.1 in Plesk Obsidian 18.0.82. We strongly recommend that you update all existing integrations using earlier versions of the XML RPC protocol to comply with the version 1.6.9.1 specification.

I'm running a 1&1 Redhat 9 server with:

Sophos (Product ver: 3.89.0, Engine ver: 2.27.1, Virus data ver: 3.89, User interface ver: 2.07.082)

And would like to get Sophie-3.04rc2 working with this and have hit a snag.
Whenever I try to compile Sophie I get the following error:

checking for SAVIsweepFile in -lsavi... no
** libsavi library NOT FOUND
** You need libsavi in order to use Sophie.
** Download it at http://www.sophos.com/

That is despite having the libsavi installed in the correct place:
ll /usr/local/lib/libsavi.*
lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 27 Jan 4 18:50 /usr/local/lib/libsavi.so -> /usr/local/lib/libsavi.so.3
lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 21 Jan 4 17:32 /usr/local/lib/libsavi.so.2 -> libsavi.so.3.2.07.082
lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 21 Jan 4 17:32 /usr/local/lib/libsavi.so.3 -> libsavi.so.3.2.07.082
-r-xr-xr-x 1 bin bin 1610060 Jan 4 17:32 /usr/local/lib/libsavi.so.3.2.07.082

Now I have read somewhere that it’s possible to statically build Sophie on a Redhat 8 box and use the files on a Redhat 9 box but as I don't have access to a Redhat 8 box I can not test this. Does anyone have any pointers to a workaround or other resources that may help??

Many thanks in advance. :D
